Men's Fellowship

Vision

The men’s fellowship is a core group of men partnering with their pastor and other leaders of the church to invite and initiate spiritual growth opportunities for all men of the church to identify their areas of gifts, grace and interest therefore given them the opportunities to participate in diverse ministries of the church such as prayer groups, missionary works, Bible studies, retreats, workshops, seminars, leading and participating on committees work thus focusing on both inward and outward spiritual growth of all men leading others best by modelling Christ in thoughts, words and deeds.

Mission:

Our mission is to support spiritual and physical needs among men of the church, help them to mature as disciples of Jesus Christ through the word of God.

Goal:

Our goal is to empower the ministry of Jesus Christ through men within the congregation of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Pathway:

Our pathway is a lifelong commitment to spiritual growth to maturity as a Christ followers as our faith passes onto others.

 

Purpose:

           United Methodist Men shall be a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know  Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and to seek daily his will.

[Our] primary purpose is to declare the centrality of 

Christ in lives if men and in all their relationships.

 

Aims and Objectives

· To foster a spirit  of mutual understanding, respect among men in the church

· To serve as the representative body of all members of the association.

· To create an atmosphere in which members could meet and discuss issues of mutual interest.

· To foster good relations with other associations by organizing and participating in various social and community activities.

· To contribute to ongoing social and economic programs in the Church.

· To encourage all members in organizing and participating in the activities of the association.

 

Membership

· Open to all men in the Church.

The major concerns are:

· To encourage knowledge of and support for the total mission of the United Methodist Church.

· To engage in evangelism by sharing the fullness of the gospel in its personal and social dimensions.

· To clarify and speak to the identity and role of the man in contemporary society.

· To seek commitment to discipleship.

· To study and become familiar with The United Methodist Church, its organization, doctrines, and beliefs.

· To cooperate with all units of United Methodist Church Men in obtaining these objectives through district, conference, jurisdiction, and church-wide goals.
